Jus’ before the holidays
The autumn brisk winds remind us of the winter ahead and that harvest season’s coming to an end, days are noticeably shorter and the nights longer. These type of nights could use a good stew. While at our local grocery store, I bought some stew beef and turnips, I recalled my wife letting me know how much she loved turnips. This was a perfect chance to try something a bit different. What I discovered while researching is that turnips are a perfect partner for beef, they’re also a nutritional root vegetable. I start by braising the marinated stew beef with garlic and onions.
