Trapiche Reserve Malbec 2012 (red)
Trapiche Reserve Malbec 2012
Argentina has embraced the Malbec grape (originally a French variety) and made it their own shining star. Since the wine-makers’ embraced the grape with passion while growing the grapes in perfect soil and having excellent growing conditions, the Argentinian Malbec has refined significantly to become an outstanding wine. Over the past few years Argentinian wines have gained more and more popularity and has helped make Argentina one of the top producers of wine in the world!
Trapiche is a major producer of wine and their Malbec (especially the ‘Reserve’) is outstanding. It has a depth-of-character that could easily put it into a higher class of wine. It’s a joy to cook with, especially when making a sauce with sautéed mushrooms for steaks!
