The antipasto is considered the appetizer course, the beginning of the meal. It’s the first course and is usually served at the table when you sit. The typical Antipasto consists of small savory foods such as cured meats, shrimp cocktail, various cheeses, marinated vegetables (eggplant, pimento and olives etc.), potato salad and bread.
