The quest for a half-decent Salsa (Pico de Gallo) is an arduous task. There’s good ones out there but none compare to homemade. Once you’ve tried our homemade Pico de Gallo you may never go back to the pre-made stuff. Fresh, high quality ingredients are the secret to this tasty sauce.

2 Ripe plum tomatoes – cored and quartered, no peeling necessary!
1 can (28 oz) plum tomatoes (San Marzano)
1/8 cup Olive Oil
1/4 red onion – peeled and quartered
1 small garlic clove – peeled
1-2 Jalapeños – stemmed and seeded
Cilantro, a big handful!
Oregano, fresh is best but dry’s okay – to taste
1 Lime, juiced
1/2 tsp chili powder
Salt and pepper – to taste
Diced green chilis – your choice of mild, medium, or hot – optional

1. Place all in food processor and go to town!
